Settlement

All legs settle, or none do.

Settlement is atomic. Base, quote and fee move in one indivisible step on Canton Network, directly between allocations the parties themselves own. There is no half-settled state, and nothing passes through Clavius.

Midpoint execution strikes at the mid of an independent reference price: both sides approach the middle from their own side of the market, and the trade executes where they meet.

Settlement is built to the CIP-56 standard for Canton-native assets: finality on chain, custody untouched.

Base

The asset leaves the seller's own allocation.

Quote

Payment, net of fee, leaves the buyer's.

Fee

Settles in the same indivisible step. All three legs, or none.

Is Clavius an exchange or a custodian?

Neither. There is no public order book, and Clavius never holds participant funds. Trades settle atomically, participant to participant, between allocations the parties themselves own, with Canton-native finality. Nothing passes through Clavius.

Who sees my trading intent?

Only the counterparties you choose. You define structured intent across liquidity tiers before any order exists, and your order is routed only to the tiers you select. Nothing reaches the wider market.

How is the price determined?

Two ways. Midpoint execution strikes at the mid of an independent reference price, executed against signed Chainlink Data Streams. An RFQ returns live, firm quotes from the liquidity tiers you select, held open for a defined window; you accept the best quote and it binds.

What happens if the other side fails to deliver?

Settlement is atomic on Canton Network, built to the CIP-56 standard. Base, quote and fee move in one indivisible step. All legs settle, or none do; there is no half-settled state.

Who can participate, and what does onboarding involve?

Clavius is built for institutional counterparties: funds, market makers and treasuries whose orders are too large for lit venues. Every participant completes KYB and sanctions screening before any workflow opens, and availability varies by jurisdiction.
